Success of the 1st Rasberry Jam in Cameroon ! 4th April 2015

The 4th April was a great moment for all the geeks,developers,IT professionals in Cameroon. It was the day for the 1st ever Rasberry Jam in the country organized by RASP4DEV, the 1st Community promoting the use of the Raspberry by african start-ups & education projects.

* TAPHIS - A young cameroonian leader give us a talk about how internet can change a life.As a single e-mail creation made him become one of the most visible Event Planner & Communication professional in Cameroon. Taphis told us how RASP4DEV School program can help children in villages to have access to  the web or "The world of possibles".

* JESSY Carlon ,speech about leadership & how with a Raspberry you can bring a new way to do things.

During the event a lot of IT Students from Douala university and even teachers were asking question about what's a raspberry ? how can we use it? can you show us a rasbperry? It's was really interactive and we tried to give a right answer to all the questions. It was the first step of a huge movement to promote IT innovation in Africa. The world is now connected without consideration of race,country or religion. We are all tech users. The Raspberry could be a great tool in Camerron to change the way children are learning computer science and discovering the web. So We decided to launch RASP4DEV School to teach computer science and Internet usage to children in african villages.

Who We are? Qui sommes-nous?

We are an african community of students, geeks,developers,IT professionals with the passion for the Raspberry. The 1st in Cameroon and the 1st panafrican .Our objective is to promote and support projects using the Raspberry . We encourage the use of the Raspberry by start-ups and education projects. The 4 April 2015 we launch the 1st Raspberry Jam in Cameroon called RASP4DEV DAY.

Rasp4Dev means " Raspberry for development" .

 We will launch  an education project the 4th April during the jam called Rasp4Dev School with the objective to teach computer science to children and promote IT in african villages. We will work with traditional chiefs of villages to have the full support of people in the area. Stay tuned, the best is still to come!


Nous sommes une communauté d'étudiants , de geeks, de développeurs, de professionnels africains passionnés par le Raspberry . Notre objectif est de promouvoir et de soutenir les projets utilisant le Raspbery en Afrique. Nous encourageons l'utilisation du Raspberry par les start-ups et les projets à but éducatif. Le 4 Avril nous organiserons le tout premier Raspberry Jam au Cameroun dénommé le RASP4DEV DAY.

Le 4 avril 2015, à l'occassion du Rasp4Dev Day nous allons lancer un projet éducatif dénommé RASP4DEV SCHOOL qui a pour but d'enseigner l'informatique aux enfants dans les zones rurales.Par la même occasion nous allons promouvoir l'informatique comme une solution au développement dans les villages. Pour cela nous travaillerons en étroite collaboration avec les chefs de villages afin de gagner le soutien total des populations.

Rasp4Dev Day ! Le premier Raspberry Jam au Cameroun!

Nous sommes RASP4DEV , la première communauté Camerounaise et panafricaine autour du Rasbperry. Rasp4Dev ce sont des étudiants, des développeurs, des passionnés d'informatique avec pour objectif ultime la promotion des nouvelles technologies sur le continent Africain.

Grâce au Raspberry l'informatique est devenue un rêve accessible à tous dans les pays en voie de développement. Nous souhaitons faire de cet outil , un moyen  d'encourager et de soutenir les projets dans les domaines de l'éducation et de entrepreneuriat. Avec le Raspberry la seule limite à votre créativité est l'imagination.Dans un pays comme le Cameroun où le revenu moyen par habitant est relativement faible, le Raspberry devient une option viable pour les entrepreneurs.


Le 4 Avril nous lançons le RASP4DEV DAY, le premier Raspberry Jam au CAMEROUN!

Christian Essame, créateur de Hyboo, une application camerounaise pour apprendre les langues locales sur internet.

RASP4DEV SCHOOL , un projet éducatif avec pour  objectif d'enseigner l'informatique aux enfants et de promouvoir l'informatique dans les zones rurales.

Rasp4Dev Day ! The 1st ever Raspberry Jam in Cameroon! 4th April - 1:00 pm

Hi everyone!

We are RASP4DEV ,We are the first Raspberry community in Cameroon  and the 1st panafrican community around the Raspberry technology in Africa. .To launch our activities in Cameroon ,we decided to organize the RASP4DEV Day the 4th April in Doula at Club House Camwater (close to castell hall -dominique savio high school) .

KWIIZI by Yan Nkengne , an offline library for african universities with millions of articles using the Raspberry.

HYBOO, a web service and mobile application allowing people around the world and even africans to learn local languages

RASP4DEV School , an education project with the objective to teach computer science to children and promote IT in african villages.
